Prime Minister Narendra Modi underscored the strong and historic bond between India and Mauritius in their shared commitment to tackling climate change. During his visit to the island nation, PM Modi highlighted collaborative efforts such as the International Solar Alliance and the Global Biofuel Alliance, emphasizing that both nations are leading the charge toward a greener and more sustainable future.

This initiative promotes afforestation and environmental consciousness, reinforcing the importance of sustainability for future generations.

“India and Mauritius share a deep-rooted friendship, and together, we are working towards a cleaner and greener planet. From solar energy to biofuels, our partnership is making a tangible impact on global climate action,” PM Modi stated.

India has been at the forefront of international climate initiatives, and its collaboration with Mauritius reflects a broader vision for global sustainability. The visit reaffirmed both countries’ dedication to environmental preservation and set the stage for continued cooperation in addressing climate challenges.
