Vice President Shri CP Radhakrishnan launched ‘Gnani Artha’ on August 28, 2026, at the Vice President’s House in New Delhi. Developed by GNANI AI, this independent AI stack is powered by Evon 3.3 and Plexus; Evon 3.3 is a Large Language Model, while Plexus is a platform that connects AI capabilities with real-world tasks and institutions. Speaking on the occasion, the Vice President stated that the combination of these two technologies reflects India’s rapidly strengthening technology ecosystem and demonstrates that Indian engineers are capable of not only using cutting-edge technology but also creating it.
Vice President Shri CP Radhakrishnan stated that India has transitioned from the era of typewriters and limited computer usage to the age of artificial intelligence and large language models. He noted that while there were once apprehensions that computers would lead to job losses, the IT sector has instead created vast new opportunities both domestically and internationally. He expressed confidence that AI, too, will open up new avenues for employment, innovation, and economic growth.
He stated that initiatives such as the IndiaAI Mission and Centres of Excellence for AI are accelerating India’s technological progress. Highlighting Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s ‘India First’ approach and visionary leadership, he noted that this has strengthened the country’s capabilities in emerging technologies.
He also mentioned that parliamentary content is available in multiple Indian languages through the ‘Digital Sansad’ platform, and the AI-based translation service currently operational in eight languages will soon be expanded to cover all scheduled languages.
Emphasizing technological self-reliance, the Vice President stated that India must become a creator of technology, not merely a consumer. He highlighted the development of sovereign AI capabilities and indigenous semiconductor manufacturing as crucial for strengthening strategic and technological autonomy. He noted that the semiconductor sector has gained new momentum under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, thereby bolstering the prospects of India’s global technological leadership.
The Vice President highlighted technology as a key pillar of Viksit Bharat @ 2047, recognizing Gnani Artha as a step towards technological self-reliance, innovation and global leadership. While congratulating Mr. Ganesh Gopalan, CEO, and Mr. Anant Nagaraj, Co-founder and CTO of GNANI AI, he expressed hope that this initiative would strengthen India’s indigenous technology ecosystem and advance the vision of a self-reliant and empowered nation.
