Hyderabad, April 2026: Students from Telangana delivered an outstanding performance in the CBSE Class X examinations, with girls once again outperforming boys and the state recording an impressive overall pass percentage.
Girls Lead with Higher Pass Percentage
According to official data, 25,263 girls achieved a pass percentage of 99.93%, surpassing boys, who recorded 99.70%.
This continues the consistent trend of girls excelling academically in CBSE board examinations.
Strong Overall Performance in Telangana
The state registered an overall pass percentage of 99.80%, reflecting exceptional academic outcomes.
- Total registered students: 56,444
- Students appeared: 56,390
- Students passed: 56,276
The exams were conducted between February 17 and March 11 across 176 centres.
School-Wise Performance Highlights
Different categories of schools in Telangana also performed strongly:
- Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) and Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) recorded 100% pass results
- Government schools achieved 99.85%
- Independent schools recorded 99.78%
National Trend Mirrors Telangana Results
The trend of girls outperforming boys was also seen at the national level, where girls achieved higher pass percentages compared to boys in the CBSE Class X results.
India’s overall pass percentage stood at 93.70%, indicating steady academic performance across the country.
Southern States Continue to Shine
Telangana, along with other southern states, emerged as a top-performing region, with pass percentages close to 99%, reinforcing the region’s strong educational ecosystem.
