Hyderabad: BJP’s Prakash Reddy Urges Swift Conclusion to Telangana Phone-Tapping Case Investigation

Date:

Hyderabad, Telangana: BJP Spokesperson Prakash Reddy on Monday raised concerns over the prolonged investigation into the alleged phone-tapping case involving former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR).

Speaking to the media, Reddy said, “Former Telangana CM KCR was interrogated for 4-5 hours yesterday. It is one of the top interrogations.” He highlighted that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) is actively probing the case and has obtained documentary evidence.

However, Reddy expressed frustration over the delay in concluding the probe. “I don’t understand why the Telangana Government is dragging the investigation. It has been almost two years, yet the government and the SIT continue with the interrogations,” he said.

He warned that such prolonged delays could jeopardize the integrity of the evidence. “The people of Telangana cannot understand what exactly is going on. Due to this delay, we may lose proper evidence,” Reddy added.

Appealing for timely justice, he urged the authorities to expedite the investigation and file a chargesheet at the earliest instead of letting the case drag on indefinitely.

The BJP spokesperson’s remarks come amid ongoing political tensions in Telangana, with the phone-tapping allegations remaining a significant point of contention.
