BJP Alleges Nexus Between Congress and BRS, Questions Delay in SIT Probe

Date:

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader NV Subhash on Friday launched a sharp attack on the Congress government in Telangana, alleging a tacit understanding between the ruling Congress and the opposition Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) over an ongoing investigation being conducted by a Special Investigation Team (SIT).

Addressing the media, Subhash claimed that both parties were “hand in glove” and accused them of playing a “foul game” by deliberately delaying the probe. He pointed out that while the government maintains that an SIT has been constituted, the panel was actually formed nearly two years ago and has yet to conclude its investigation.

“They are taking an inordinate amount of time just to investigate. We really wonder when this investigation will be completed and when the accused will be identified,” Subhash said.

The BJP leader further alleged that since assuming office, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has been shielding leaders of the BRS in connection with the matter. He demanded accountability and insisted that all those accused or identified must strictly adhere to the law.

“We demand that whoever has been accused and identified should abide by the rules and regulations,” Subhash stated, adding that former Chief Minister and BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) should come forward and comply with legal procedures.

Subhash also urged the current Chief Minister to act decisively against those responsible for alleged misuse of public resources. “We demand that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy identify the culprits who have looted the Telangana resources and wealth,” he said.

The allegations add to the growing political sparring in the state, with the BJP intensifying its criticism of both the Congress-led government and the BRS over issues of governance, transparency, and accountability.
