BJP Leader Dr. K. Laxman Predicts Congress Defeat in Jubilee Hills By-Election, Says People Want Double-Engine Government in Telangana

Date:

Hyderabad, Telangana: Rajya Sabha MP and BJP OBC Morcha National President Dr. K. Laxman on Tuesday expressed confidence that the Congress party will face a decisive defeat in the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election, asserting that the people of Telangana now want a BJP-led double-engine government for the state’s progress.

Addressing reporters, Dr. Laxman said, “The defeat of Congress is certain in the Jubilee Hills by-election. Yesterday, Revanth Reddy, as Chief Minister, questioned what the BJP has done in Telangana… During the UPA era, when Congress and BRS contested elections together, what did they do? We are ready to discuss this.”

He accused both the Congress and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) of deceiving the people of Telangana for years through unfulfilled promises and corruption. “People have understood how these two parties have betrayed them. They now want a transparent and development-oriented government,” Dr. Laxman said.

Emphasizing the BJP’s vision for the state, he added that the people are looking forward to the establishment of a double-engine government — one where both the Centre and the state work together to accelerate growth and welfare.

The Jubilee Hills by-election has become a key political battleground in Telangana, with major parties intensifying their campaigns to secure voter confidence.
