Union Minister G Kishan Reddy Accuses Telangana CM Revanth Reddy of Misinformation on State Debt

Date:

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy has strongly criticized Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Congress government, accusing them of failing to fulfill their election promises and misleading the public on the state’s financial situation.

Speaking at a press conference, Kishan Reddy said, “In the name of freebies, the Congress party gave many guarantees. It has been 14 months since the Congress government was formed in Telangana, but they have failed to deliver on their promises.”

He also took a dig at CM Revanth Reddy for allegedly contradicting his earlier statements about Telangana’s debt. “During the election campaign, Revanth Reddy repeatedly claimed that the previous BRS government had taken a loan of ₹7.5 lakh crore. But today, he says he has no knowledge about the state’s financial situation. This is pure misinformation.”

The Union Minister accused the Congress of misleading the people of Telangana and failing to take responsibility for governance. “Revanth Reddy is lying and spreading false narratives instead of focusing on real governance,” he added.

The BJP leader’s remarks come amid growing political tensions in Telangana, with opposition parties questioning the Congress government’s ability to implement its pre-election guarantees and manage the state’s finances effectively.
