Telangana Student Shot Dead in US: BJP Leader N Ramchander Rao Calls for Action Against Racial Discrimination

Date:

The tragic killing of a 27-year-old student from Telangana in the United States has sparked strong reactions in India, with BJP leader N Ramchander Rao condemning the incident and urging the US government to take strict measures to protect legal migrants.

Speaking on the matter, Rao expressed deep sorrow over the student’s death, stating, “It is unfortunate that a Telangana student, who was working as a part-timer at a store in the US, has lost his life in such a brutal manner. The US government should take responsibility and ensure the safety of legal migrants.”

He further pointed out concerns over racial discrimination, saying, “The incident shows that racial discrimination is still going on in the US. Despite Indian contributions to the US economy, such attacks continue to happen. Racial discrimination is increasing, and the US government must take strict steps to prevent such incidents.”

The rising cases of violence against Indian students and professionals in the US have been a matter of concern for Indian authorities. Many political leaders and Indian communities abroad have repeatedly called for better security measures and accountability from US law enforcement.

The Telangana government has assured the victim’s family of support in bringing the body back to India and has reached out to the Indian Embassy in the US to push for a thorough investigation into the case.
