Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Praises DRDO Scientists, Predicts India’s Rise as a Global Superpower

Date:

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh lauded the contributions of Indian scientists during his address at DRDO’s Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Missile Complex in Hyderabad, emphasizing their role in shaping India’s future as a global superpower.

“The way you are fulfilling your responsibilities without getting much publicity, this country will forever be in your debt, whether they are aware of your contributions or not,” Singh stated, acknowledging the silent yet crucial role played by scientists in national security and technological advancements.

He further expressed confidence in India’s trajectory toward becoming a global leader, citing projections by international financial bodies.

“Nobody can stop a country that has scientists like you from becoming a superpower… Big financial forums worldwide confidently predict that, based on India’s GDP growth, India will be among the top three economies by 2027. In 10 years, we will have gone from the top 11 to the top 3,” he added.

The Defence Minister’s remarks come amid India’s continued focus on indigenous defence manufacturing and technological self-reliance. With major developments in missile technology, aerospace, and defence infrastructure, DRDO has played a pivotal role in strengthening national security.

Singh’s statement highlights the growing global recognition of India’s economic and technological rise, reinforcing the government’s vision for a self-reliant and powerful nation in the years to come.
