Hyderabad: In a major push toward digital public transport services, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has launched bus ticket booking facilities through the ‘MeTicket Mobile’ feature on the MeeSeva mobile application.
The app was officially launched by Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar in the presence of senior officials, including Special Chief Secretary (Transport) Vikas Raj, TGSRTC Managing Director Y Nagi Reddy, and MeeSeva Commissioner Ravi Kiran.
Book Bus Tickets, Passes and T-24 Digitally
The new digital facility enables passengers to book bus tickets, monthly passes, and T-24 tickets from anywhere using the MeeSeva mobile app.
The service covers multiple bus categories, including:

Metro Express
This move aligns with the Telangana government’s vision of technology-driven and citizen-centric public services.
Integration with Online Passenger Reservation System (OPRS)
The MeTicket Mobile feature is integrated with TGSRTC’s Online Passenger Reservation System (OPRS), allowing seamless booking of long-distance and intercity services.
Currently, 1,710 OPRS services are available on the platform, including:

1,260 Non-A/C services

Around 13,000 seats booked daily
Key destinations accessible through the app include Bengaluru, Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Mancherial, Khammam, Adilabad, Asifabad, and Warangal.
Monthly Passes Go Fully Paperless
Passengers in the Greater Hyderabad zone can now obtain and renew five categories of monthly city bus passes digitally. The passes are QR code-enabled, allowing commuters to travel by simply displaying the code on their mobile phones.
Monthly pass categories include:

Metro Express Pass – ₹1,600

Metro Deluxe Pass – ₹1,800

Green Metro Luxury A/C Pass – ₹2,200

Pushpak A/C Pass – ₹5,000
The popular T-24 ticket, which allows unlimited travel for 24 hours across City Ordinary, Metro Express, and Metro Deluxe services, is also available digitally through the app.
Boost to Digital Public Transport in Telangana
TGSRTC Managing Director Y Nagi Reddy stated that five categories of bus passes and the T-24 ticket are now fully digital, marking a significant milestone in paperless and contactless travel.
The initiative is expected to enhance commuter convenience, reduce manual processes, and strengthen Telangana’s digital public transport ecosystem.
