Hyderabad: In a major digital initiative, the School Education Department of Telangana has introduced new technology-driven measures for the upcoming SSC Public Examinations 2026, beginning March 14.
From QR code-enabled hall tickets to WhatsApp delivery, the department aims to make the examination process more convenient and stress-free for Class X students.
QR Code on Hall Tickets for Easy Centre Location
Starting this year, SSC hall tickets will feature a QR code embedded with detailed examination centre location information.
Students can scan the QR code using a smartphone, which will automatically redirect them to Google Maps, displaying:

Exact route to the examination centre

Distance from current location
-
Estimated travel time
Officials said the initiative was introduced to reduce stress among students, especially on the first day of exams when navigating unfamiliar centres can be challenging.
The QR code system is similar to the one implemented by the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education and TG EAPCET for their hall tickets.
Hall Tickets to Be Sent via WhatsApp
In another first, SSC hall tickets will be sent directly to the registered WhatsApp numbers of students.
Students can open the link received on WhatsApp, validate their details, and download the hall ticket instantly.

Over 5.28 Lakh Students to Appear
A total of 5,28,248 students have registered for the SSC Public Examinations 2026, including:

5,17,727 regular students
-
10,521 private (once failed) candidates
The exams will be conducted at 2,676 centres across Telangana from March 14 to April 16.
Hall tickets are expected to be released by the end of this month, according to Dr. E Naveen Nicolas, Director of the School Education Department.
He also announced that special learning materials for language subjects have been provided this year to help students prepare more effectively for the examinations.
The new digital measures are part of Telangana’s broader effort to modernise education services and enhance student convenience through technology.
