Union Minister G Kishan Reddy Criticizes Telangana Government over Unemployment, BJYM Protest Ensues

Date:

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy launched a scathing critique against the Telangana government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing the ruling Congress party of failing to deliver on its promises regarding unemployment. Speaking at the ‘Unemployment Protest’ organized by the BJP Youth Wing (BJYM) at Dharna Chowk in Hyderabad, Reddy lamented the unfulfilled pledges made by the Congress party, particularly concerning job creation.

“The Congress party has made promises of resolving the issue of unemployment and providing 2 lakh employment opportunities in 100 days. They haven’t fulfilled a single promise after coming into power,” asserted Reddy, addressing a gathering of protesters. “This has angered the youth of the state. That’s why the BJYM is protesting against CM Revanth Reddy’s government in the state.”

The protest at Dharna Chowk saw enthusiastic participation from BJYM members and supporters, who voiced their discontent over the alleged lack of initiatives to address rising unemployment in Telangana. The demonstrators carried placards and raised slogans demanding accountability from the state government regarding job creation and opportunities for the youth.

Reddy’s criticism underscored the BJP’s stance on the issue of unemployment, portraying it as a central concern that impacts the aspirations and livelihoods of young people across the state. The protest aimed to highlight what the BJP perceives as a failure on the part of the state government to prioritize and effectively address the unemployment crisis.

In response to the allegations, the Telangana Congress party has yet to issue an official statement. However, the protest and Reddy’s remarks signal escalating political tensions over the issue of unemployment in the region, setting the stage for potential debates and policy discussions in the upcoming political landscape.

The ‘Unemployment Protest’ at Dharna Chowk not only served as a platform for dissent but also underscored the BJP’s strategy to mobilize public opinion against the incumbent government’s performance on critical socio-economic issues. As the political discourse intensifies, the voices of protest and criticism are likely to resonate across Telangana’s political spectrum, shaping public opinion in the run-up to future elections.
