Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 Campaign To Unite The Nation From August 9 To 17

Date:

Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat launched the nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga 2026’ campaign in New Delhi; the campaign will be conducted across the country from August 9 to August 17, 2026.

This campaign, which has emerged as one of India’s largest mass-participation movements, calls upon citizens to hoist the national flag with pride and participate in various activities that celebrate the spirit of patriotism and national unity.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi yesterday (Thursday), Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat stated that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign—launched in 2022 as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav—has become an annual national tradition, with crores of citizens voluntarily hoisting the national flag every Independence Day.

He further remarked that ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ has now evolved far beyond a mere flag-hoisting campaign, transforming into a nationwide celebration driven by community participation, cultural events, heritage-related activities, and digital engagement.

The Union Minister also noted that ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ has become a true mass movement today, celebrated across the country with immense enthusiasm and a spirit of patriotism. He stated that the Tiranga is much more than just a national flag; it is a symbol of India’s unity, pride, and collective national identity.

He said that the Tiranga embodies the courage and sacrifice of the countless brave men and women who defended the nation and laid down their lives in its service. Shekhawat emphasized that the Tiranga inspires every Indian, irrespective of their region or social stratum, and added that this campaign offers citizens an opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to the goal of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) by 2047.

He further added that this year’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign holds even greater significance as it coincides with the 150th anniversary of India’s national song, Vande Mataram, making the celebration even more meaningful and inspiring greater public participation.
