It includes components such as Adarsh Gram, Grants-in-Aid, and the Construction or Repair of Hostels. The objective of this scheme is to improve educational outcomes, strengthen infrastructure, and ensure better access to high-quality residential facilities for Scheduled Caste students.

Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Dr. Virendra Kumar informed the Lok Sabha that development activities are being undertaken across 10 sectors including education covering 50 socio-economic indicators under the ‘Adarsh Gram’ component. He stated that a total of 17,067 villages have been declared ‘Adarsh Gram’ by July 29, 2026, with 265,509 beneficiaries covered in the education sector.
