Revanth Reddy’s goal: Kodangal will be transformed by 2027

Date:

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has taken a major step toward developing his constituency, Kodangal, into a modern, economic, and educational hub. During his visit to Kodangal, the Chief Minister reviewed several high-value infrastructure and welfare projects underway in the region.
CM Reddy has given clear instructions that all development projects planned in Kodangal must be completed by December 2027. During this visit, he also inaugurated several new development projects aimed at transforming the region.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has described Kodangal as Telangana’s next “growth hub”. He directed senior officials to immediately begin work on all approved projects there without delay. This development package includes major investments in transportation, health, irrigation (water), education, and industry. It is one of the government’s largest and most ambitious projects in recent years.

The Narayanpet-Kodangal Lift Irrigation Scheme is a key focus of the government’s roadmap to bring Krishna River water to drought-prone villages. The project is expected to improve irrigation facilities in several mandals where farmers have long relied on erratic rainfall. Officials believe that upon completion, the scheme will significantly increase agricultural productivity and support rural livelihoods.

The government plans to make Kodangal an education hub. During his visit, Revanth Reddy announced plans to build new engineering, nursing, medical and polytechnic colleges there. These new schools will allow local students to study nearby instead of moving to cities like Hyderabad, while also creating jobs in the area.

To improve healthcare services, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for a 430-bed government hospital in Kodangal. Built at a cost of approximately ₹250 crore, the hospital will provide better and more emergency treatment to the people in the area.

The second most important part of this plan is promoting industry. Officials have stated that a new 2,300-acre industrial park is being developed near Lagacherla to accommodate factories and private companies. A cement factory and other industries may also be established there, creating thousands of jobs for the youth in the area.

Revanth Reddy said that road and train projects are moving forward well and will greatly improve business and travel in the area. He told officials to work hard to achieve long-term growth. The Chief Minister added that the government’s goal is not just to build basic facilities, but to completely transform Kodangal’s economy and society by the end of 2027.
