BJP Telangana Demands KCR and GHMC Mayor to Refund Salaries for Neglecting Duties

Date:

BJP leader NV Subhash has called on Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi to refund their salaries and perks for allegedly failing to perform their duties. Subhash criticized both leaders for their negligence, particularly pointing out KCR’s infrequent attendance in the state assembly.

“BJP Telangana demands KCR and GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi to refund their salaries and perks for not performing their duties,” Subhash stated, holding them accountable for not fulfilling their constitutional obligations.

He further emphasized that after losing power, KCR has only attended the Assembly a handful of times, primarily to maintain his legislative status, despite having held power for ten years. Subhash claimed that KCR’s absence from the Assembly has resulted in the wastage of taxpayer money.

“After ruling for ten years and knowing the constitutional obligations and responsibilities, he’s never attended the Assembly, thus wasting the taxpayer’s money,” Subhash added.

The BJP’s criticism underscores the growing political tensions between the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the opposition in Telangana, with the BJP continuing to hold the state government accountable for what it views as dereliction of duty.
