Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw Highlights PM Modi’s Push for Electronics Manufacturing in Telangana

Date:

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw reaffirmed the Central Government’s commitment to strengthening electronics manufacturing in Telangana, emphasizing the role of the state in India’s electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem.

Speaking at an event, Vaishnaw said, “PM Modi has put a huge emphasis on electronics manufacturing, and in Telangana, we have three electronics manufacturing clusters supported by the Central Government.”

He specifically highlighted the Divitipally cluster, which he visited today. “Divitipally will play a crucial role in the production of battery packs, cell manufacturing, and lithium batteries—key components for the rapidly growing electric vehicle industry.”

The Union Minister’s remarks reflect India’s strategic focus on becoming a global leader in electronics and EV technology, reducing reliance on imports, and boosting local manufacturing under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

With Telangana emerging as a hub for electronics and EV-related industries, the government’s investments in manufacturing clusters are expected to generate employment and accelerate India’s transition to sustainable energy solutions.
