BJP MP Eatala Rajender Leads 24-Hour Protest in Hyderabad Demanding Loan Waiver for Farmers

Date:

In a determined display of solidarity with farmers, BJP MP Eatala Rajender led a 24-hour protest in Hyderabad on Saturday, calling for the Telangana state government to honor its promises regarding loan waivers and financial support for agricultural workers.

Rajender stated, “We organized this protest to demand the unconditional loan waiver that the state government promised before the elections.” He expressed frustration over the government’s failure to deliver on commitments made during the electoral campaign, particularly the pledge to provide farmers with Rs 15,000 per acre per annum.

“This promise has not been fulfilled till now,” he emphasized, urging the government to take immediate action to support the farming community. The protest, which attracted a significant number of farmers and BJP supporters, aimed to draw attention to the ongoing challenges faced by agricultural workers in the region.

Rajender warned that unless the government takes steps to meet its commitments, the BJP would continue to escalate its protests. “We demand the government to fulfill its promises; otherwise, the protests will continue,” he declared, signaling that the party remains resolute in its advocacy for farmers’ rights.

The protest comes at a time when many farmers in Telangana are grappling with financial difficulties exacerbated by rising costs and stagnant crop prices. Rajender’s statements resonate with growing discontent among agricultural workers, who have been calling for more substantial government support.

As the BJP intensifies its efforts to hold the government accountable, the demands for farmer welfare remain at the forefront of political discourse in Telangana. The outcome of these protests could significantly influence the state’s agricultural policies and the relationship between the government and its farming community.
