India has taken a monumental step towards enhancing its maritime infrastructure with the Union Cabinet’s approval of the Rs.76,200 crore project for the development of Vadhavan Port in Maharashtra. The project, a collaborative effort between the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) and the Maharashtra Maritime Board (MMB), is expected to create approximately 12 lakh jobs, contributing significantly to employment generation and socio-economic development in Maharashtra.
