BJP Leader CR Kesavan Criticizes Rahul Gandhi for Politicizing Armed Forces

Date:

Hyderabad, Telangana – BJP leader CR Kesavan has strongly criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his remarks on the Indian Armed Forces. Kesavan accused Gandhi of politicizing the Armed Forces and undermining national security.

“Shame on Mr Rahul Gandhi for politicizing our Armed Forces, attacking our armies with cunning lies and for trying to demoralise our Armed Forces and undermining our national security,” Kesavan said in a statement.

Kesavan’s comments came after senior leaders, including the External Affairs Minister, appealed to the Election Commission regarding Gandhi’s remarks. “We hope that EC not only makes Rahul Gandhi retract his statement but also he unconditionally apologises to our Armed Forces,” Kesavan added.

The BJP leader further accused the Congress of playing a dangerous game for their personal benefits. “On one side you have the Congress which is trying to politicise our Army for their personal benefits. This dangerous game of Congress will backfire on them,” he warned.

In contrast, Kesavan praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for prioritizing national interest and the dignity of the Armed Forces. “On the other hand, in a striking contrast, you have the PM Modi for whom national interest and dignity of our Armed Forces is paramount,” he said.

The BJP leader’s comments have sparked a new round of political debate, with the Congress yet to respond to the allegations.
