PM Modi Applauds CDRI’s Growth at International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his keynote address at the ‘International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure 2024: Investing Today for a More Resilient Tomorrow’ held at Bharat Mandapam, lauded the remarkable expansion of the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI).

“Over the past few years, the CDRI has shown remarkable growth,” remarked PM Modi. “Since its inception in 2019, we have witnessed significant strides. Today, it stands as a global coalition comprising 39 countries and 7 organizations. This demonstrates promising prospects for the future.”

Established in 2019, the CDRI has experienced substantial advancement and enlargement, now encompassing a global coalition consisting of 39 countries and 7 organizations. The coalition’s core mission is to advocate for the resilience of both new and existing infrastructure systems against climate and disaster risks, thereby fostering sustainable development.

Under the theme ‘Investing Today for a More Resilient Tomorrow’, the conference brought together global leaders, experts, and stakeholders to exchange insights and best practices, aiming to enhance the resilience of infrastructure against disasters.
