PM Modi’s Aligarh Rally: A Blistering Critique of Appeasement Politics

Date:

Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh – Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a massive crowd at a public rally in Aligarh, delivered a scathing rebuke to opposition parties, particularly targeting the Congress and the Samajwadi Party (SP), for what he termed as their indulgence in appeasement politics at the expense of the Muslim community’s welfare.

In a passionate speech, PM Modi condemned what he viewed as the neglect of marginalized sections within the Muslim community, highlighting the plight of Pasmanda Muslims as emblematic of the broader failure of successive governments. He poignantly remarked, “When I discuss the plight of Pasmanda Muslims, their hair stands on end because the upper-class people have enjoyed the cream and they have forced the Pasmanda Muslims to live in the same condition.”

PM Modi did not shy away from confronting the contentious issue of triple talaq, a practice that has long been criticized for its adverse impact on women’s rights and autonomy. He narrated heartbreaking accounts of women whose lives were devastated by this practice, emphasizing its profound repercussions on entire families.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister reaffirmed his government’s unwavering commitment to gender justice and empowerment by highlighting the enactment of legislation against triple talaq as a crucial step forward. This move, aimed at protecting the rights and dignity of women, represents a significant stride towards rectifying entrenched injustices and fostering gender equality.

PM Modi’s impassioned critique of appeasement politics and his resolute advocacy for social justice come amidst the charged atmosphere of Uttar Pradesh’s political landscape, with parties gearing up for the forthcoming elections. His remarks are poised to reignite discussions and shape the narrative surrounding critical issues affecting the state and the nation at large.

As Uttar Pradesh braces for electoral contests, PM Modi’s forceful rhetoric underscores the imperative of a more inclusive and equitable political discourse, where the welfare and empowerment of all communities, irrespective of religion or gender, are accorded paramount importance. In his steadfast commitment to addressing entrenched inequalities and fostering social cohesion, PM Modi continues to exemplify leadership driven by a vision of a more prosperous and harmonious India.
