Prime Minister Inaugurates Railway Infrastructure Projects Worth Over Rs 41,000 Crore

HYDERABAD/ADILABAD/MEDAK/NIZAMABAD – In a significant move towards the development of railway infrastructure in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and dedicated around 2,000 projects worth more than Rs 41,000 crore to the nation. The inauguration was conducted via video conferencing under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

The scheme includes the redevelopment of 533 railway stations at a cost of Rs 19,000 crore. Among these, 15 stations are located in Telangana, with redevelopment costs estimated at Rs 230 crore. In addition, 49 Road Over Bridges (RoBs) and Road Under Bridges (RuBs) constructed across the state were also inaugurated.

The virtual event was attended by numerous senior leaders and officials from across the state, marking a significant step in the development of the region’s railway infrastructure.

During the event, the Prime Minister emphasized that the programme symbolises the new work culture of New India. He stated, “Whatever India does today, it does it on an unprecedented speed and scale. We dream big and work tirelessly to realise them. This resolve is visible in this ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit Railway’ programme.”

The Prime Minister’s words reflect the ambitious spirit of the nation, as it continues to strive for development and progress at an unprecedented pace. The inauguration of these projects under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is a testament to this resolve, marking a significant milestone in the journey towards a developed and connected India.
