Seethakka Releases Coffee Table Book on Medaram Sammakka Saralamma Jatara

Panchayat Raj Minister Dhanasri Anasuya Seethakka released a coffee table book titled Goddess of Folk – Sammakka Saralamma Jatara at Jyothi Rao Phule Praja Bhavan on Friday.

Celebrating Tribal Heritage

  • The Minister praised the Kakatiya Heritage Trust for documenting the festival.

  • Seethakka highlighted the recognition of Ramappa Temple as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a proud achievement for Telangana.

  • She said the government is working to secure international recognition for Medaram Jatara in the living heritage category, similar to Durga Puja and Diwali in Bengal.
