Telangana BJP President N. Ramchander Rao on Monday expressed gratitude to the people of Telangana after the party reported significant gains in the ongoing municipal election results across the state.
Addressing the media in Hyderabad, Rao said the BJP has secured a mandate in more than 350 divisions across municipal corporations and municipalities. He stated that the party is currently leading in two municipal corporations and is likely to secure victories in both. Additionally, Rao claimed that the BJP has won around five to six municipalities in Telangana.
“The BJP thanks the people of Telangana for giving the party its mandate,” Rao said, attributing the party’s performance to public support for its governance model and grassroots efforts. He described the results as a reflection of growing confidence in the BJP’s vision for urban development and transparent administration.
Municipal elections in Telangana have witnessed active participation from major political parties, with results being closely monitored across districts. Local body polls are often seen as indicators of shifting political trends and public sentiment at the grassroots level.
Rao said the party would continue to work towards strengthening civic infrastructure, improving service delivery, and promoting accountable governance in urban local bodies where it has secured representation.
Final results are awaited in some areas as counting continues. Election authorities are expected to release consolidated figures once the process is completed.
