  • Under this new phase, the Central Government aims to construct an additional two crore permanent houses across the country.
  • This allocation will help provide permanent houses to lakhs of poor rural families in the state in a phased manner.

Strong Coordination Between Centre and State Government

Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, state ministers, and senior officials from both the central and Uttar Pradesh governments attended the meeting, where they reviewed the progress of agriculture and rural development schemes. Emphasis was placed on ensuring better coordination between the Centre and the state to guarantee that the benefits of policies effectively reach farmers, agricultural laborers, and rural poor families.

Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated that the expansion of MSP procurement and the approval of 6.18 lakh PMAY-G houses reflect Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ensuring farmers’ prosperity and providing a home for every poor family. He added that the Central and Uttar Pradesh governments are working together to strengthen agriculture, empower villages, and improve the lives of rural families. (PIB)
