Future City Vision: Revanth Reddy Invites Farmers to Be Development Partners

Date:

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has urged farmers to actively participate in the development of the ambitious Bharat Future City project, calling upon them to become partners in shaping a globally competitive urban hub near Hyderabad. Addressing a public gathering in Ranga Reddy district, he stressed that the success of the project depends on cooperation between the government and land-owning farmers.

The Chief Minister appealed to farmers to voluntarily hand over land in a litigation-free manner, assuring them that the government will provide fair compensation along with long-term developmental benefits. He noted that a significant majority of landowners have already agreed to participate in the project, stating that over 90% of farmers have consented to land acquisition, and encouraged the remaining to come forward in the larger interest of development.

Revanth Reddy also cautioned that delays in land transfer could affect future financial gains, as land prices in the region are increasing due to ongoing infrastructure expansion. He urged farmers to make informed decisions and assured them that the government will ensure no injustice or loss to project-affected families.

The Chief Minister described the Bharat Future City initiative as a transformative urban development project aimed at building a world-class city comparable to global hubs like Singapore and New York. The planned city is expected to host technology companies, multinational corporations, and innovation-driven industries, generating large-scale employment opportunities and boosting Telangana’s economic growth.

He added that the government is strengthening institutional mechanisms such as the Future City Development Corporation, which will oversee planning, infrastructure execution, and investment coordination. The project also includes plans to bring nearby villages into the development zone to ensure balanced and inclusive regional growth.

Revanth Reddy called upon local elected representatives from the Ranga Reddy region to actively engage with farmers and help resolve any concerns related to land acquisition. He emphasized that transparent communication and trust-building are essential for the successful implementation of such large-scale infrastructure projects.

The government reiterated that it has no intention of forcibly acquiring land and remains committed to ensuring fair compensation, rehabilitation support, and long-term economic benefits for participating landowners. Officials believe that the project will significantly increase land value in surrounding areas and improve infrastructure, connectivity, and job prospects.

The Bharat Future City is envisioned as a sustainable, high-tech urban zone, integrating residential, commercial, and industrial spaces with modern infrastructure and digital systems. It is designed to promote innovation-driven growth while maintaining environmentally conscious planning standards.

Revanth Reddy concluded that the Future City represents a long-term vision for Telangana’s development, and its success will depend on collective participation from all stakeholders, especially farmers. He reiterated that they will remain key partners in this transformation and that their cooperation will help turn the region into a globally competitive urban center.

With land acquisition progressing and planning efforts underway, the Bharat Future City project is steadily moving toward becoming one of the most significant urban development initiatives in Telangana’s history.
