The Rural Innovations, Incubation, Skilling and Entrepreneurship (RISE) Centre at Guntupalli in Ibrahimpatnam block has received financial support of ₹1.55 crore from NITI Aayog, District Collector Dr. G. Lakshmisha said on Friday.
Boost to Rural Women Entrepreneurship
The funding was approved following a detailed proposal submitted by the district administration to promote rural women entrepreneurship, particularly among self-help group (SHG) members.
The initiative aligns with the state government’s vision of “one family–one entrepreneur”, focusing on:
- Skill development
- Livelihood generation
- Economic empowerment of women
Funds to Support AI-Based Training and Infrastructure
The sanctioned amount will be utilised for:
- AI-based skill surveys
- Advanced training programmes
- Strengthening infrastructure at the RISE Centre
These efforts aim to make rural skill development more targeted and technology-driven.
Over 1,000 Women Trained Across Multiple Skills
The RISE Centre offers integrated support through:
- Help desk
- Idea incubation desk
- Skilling and training units
- Placement support
- Banking assistance
So far, 1,000+ women have been trained in:
- Artificial Intelligence basics
- Spoken English
- Paper crafts
- Car driving
- Micro food processing
- Solar panel installation
Workshops on digital commerce and value-added products have also been conducted.
300+ Families Start Small Enterprises
Officials said the initiative has already enabled over 300 families to start small businesses, contributing to local economic growth.
Regular activities include:
- Training sessions
- Field visits
- Job melas in collaboration with partner institutions
Call for Wider Participation
District Collector Dr. Lakshmisha urged more individuals, especially women, to utilise the RISE Centre for self-employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
