The Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday released its much-awaited Job Calendar 2026, announcing plans to fill over 10,060 vacancies across various departments through the State Public Service Commission.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu termed the initiative a Ugadi gift for youth, urging job aspirants to prepare diligently and seize the opportunities.
Four Major Notifications Scheduled Between May and October
According to the job calendar, recruitment will be carried out through four major notifications:
- May 15, 2026:
- 1,500 posts in Higher Education Department
- August 15, 2026:
- 91 Group-I posts
- 2,778 Home Department jobs
- 928 posts in other departments
- September 15, 2026:
- 750 Group-II jobs
- 503 Engineering Department posts
- 506 posts in other departments
- October 15, 2026:
- 3,004 vacancies in School/Intermediate Education
‘Jobs First’ Policy of State Government
CM Naidu reiterated that “Jobs First” is the core policy of the TDP-led government.
“With investments and industrial growth, large-scale job creation will take place in the private sector this year,” he said.
He claimed that in the last 21 months, the government has facilitated over 6 lakh employment opportunities across government and private sectors.
Employment Achievements Highlighted
Speaking during Ugadi celebrations in Vijayawada, the Chief Minister highlighted:
- 15,940 teacher jobs through Mega DSC
- 5,757 Police Constable recruitments
- 30,607 government jobs provided
- 6.28 lakh private sector jobs generated
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating 20 lakh jobs in five years.
Nara Lokesh: Job Calendar Promise Fulfilled
State HRD and IT Minister Nara Lokesh said the government has fulfilled its promise made during the Yuvagalam Padyatra.
“From now on, every Ugadi will be a festival of job announcements. Prepare well for competitive exams,” he said.

The Job Calendar 2026 is expected to:

- Strengthen public sector employment
