The Telangana SSC Public Examinations 2026 began on Monday with the first language paper, with thousands of students appearing for the exam at 2,676 centres across the state.
The three-hour examination started at 9:30 AM and was scheduled to conclude at 12:30 PM.
Over 5.28 Lakh Students Registered for the Exams
According to the Telangana School Education Department, a total of 5,28,239 students registered for the SSC examinations this year.
The registered candidates include:

2,60,285 girls
The examinations will continue until April 16, 2026.
Early Entry and Grace Period for Students
Students who arrived early were allowed to enter examination centres from 8:30 AM.
Like the previous year, the education department allowed five minutes of grace time, enabling students to enter the exam centres until 9:35 AM.
144 Flying Squads Deployed to Prevent Malpractices
To ensure smooth conduct of the exams and prevent any irregularities, authorities have deployed 144 flying squads to monitor examination centres across the state.
These squads are responsible for checking malpractice and maintaining discipline during the exams.
Students Not Allowed to Wear School Uniform
Students appearing for the examinations were not allowed to wear their school uniforms. The measure was introduced to prevent disclosure of their school identity during the examination process.

Authorities permitted students to carry only essential items such as:

Geometric instruments
Electronic devices such as mobile phones, calculators, and smart watches were strictly prohibited inside the exam halls.
Special arrangements were made at the entrance of examination centres to allow students to safely deposit their personal belongings and electronic devices free of cost.
Officials said the measures were taken to ensure fair and transparent conduct of the Telangana SSC examinations across the state.
