Hyderabad: TiE Hyderabad has officially launched the 7th edition of TiE Women 2026 during the Women Entrepreneurs’ Special Edition of TiE OpenMic held at Akan near Durgam Cheruvu on Friday night.
The launch event brought together women entrepreneurs, startup founders, investors, and ecosystem leaders to celebrate and promote women-led innovation.
Participation Target Doubled for 2026
Announcing expansion plans, Murali Kakarla, President of TiE Hyderabad, said the chapter is aiming for 200 applicants this year, doubling last year’s participation.
The initiative reflects TiE Hyderabad’s growing focus on empowering women founders and scaling their entrepreneurial journeys through mentorship, networking, and global exposure.
Telugu Language Pitches to Encourage Rural Women Founders
In a significant move toward inclusivity, women founders from rural backgrounds will be allowed to pitch in Telugu during the TiE Women 2026 challenge. The decision is aimed at encouraging aspiring entrepreneurs who are more comfortable expressing their ideas in their native language.
This step is expected to widen participation from Tier-2 and Tier-3 regions and support grassroots innovation.
Strengthening the Women Startup Ecosystem
TiE Women is a global initiative designed to support women entrepreneurs through mentoring, funding access, and international visibility. The Hyderabad chapter has been actively nurturing women-led startups across sectors including technology, healthcare, consumer products, and social enterprises.
With the 7th edition, TiE Hyderabad is set to further strengthen the city’s startup ecosystem by promoting diversity, inclusivity, and women leadership in entrepreneurship.
