Following the extensive parliamentary programme at the Knesset, PM Modi shared a picture with Netanyahu on social media. The image shows both leaders seated together in the same car, symbolising the warmth and strength of India-Israel ties.

In his post, PM Modi mentioned that after addressing Parliament, they were heading to view a technology-related exhibition.

Conferred with ‘Speaker of the Knesset’ Medal

Earlier, PM Modi was honoured with the prestigious “Speaker of the Knesset Medal” by Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana in Jerusalem.

The Prime Minister described the honour as recognition of the enduring friendship and shared democratic values between India and Israel.

First Indian PM to Address Knesset

PM Modi created history by becoming the first Indian Prime Minister to address the Israeli Parliament. During his speech, he highlighted the strengthening strategic partnership between the two nations and underlined shared democratic principles and cooperation across sectors.

Growing Global Recognition

PM Modi is among the few global leaders to have received high-level honours from both Israel and Palestine. In 2018, he was awarded the “Grand Collar of the State of Palestine,” the highest civilian honour of Palestine.

The visit marks another milestone in India-Israel relations, reinforcing strategic cooperation in technology, innovation, defence, and economic collaboration.
