Union Minister G Kishan Reddy Highlights Visionary Approach of Union Budget 2026, Emphasizes Development for Telangana and India’s Future

Hyderabad — Union Minister G Kishan Reddy has lauded the Union Budget 2026 as a visionary and future-oriented blueprint for India’s development, underscoring its emphasis on long-term growth rather than electoral gains. Speaking on the budget’s objectives, he emphasized that the plan is designed to shape India’s progress towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.

“This is not an election budget; it is not an election-oriented budget,” Reddy said, highlighting that the budget has been carefully crafted to address the needs of future generations. “Employment should increase in the country. Infrastructure activities should increase in the country. There should be research activities in the country, investment should come into the country, and there should be development in rural areas.”

The minister pointed out that the budget aims to stimulate multiple sectors vital to India’s sustainable growth, with a special focus on rural development, technological advancement, and enhanced infrastructure. He underscored that these measures are intended to boost economic activity and create more job opportunities nationwide.

Addressing the specific benefits for Telangana, Kishan Reddy noted the central government’s dedicated allocations for the state alongside Andhra Pradesh. He mentioned the ongoing development of approximately 42 railway stations in Telangana, of which four have already been inaugurated, with plans to complete the rest by 2026.

Additionally, the minister highlighted the announcement of three high-speed rail corridors, a transformative infrastructure project that will significantly improve connectivity and foster economic growth in the region.

“I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, because he has taken such a big decision in the interest of Telangana,” Reddy said, praising the Prime Minister’s leadership and commitment to inclusive development.

These initiatives underscore the central government’s dedication to balanced regional progress while driving India’s broader ambitions for economic strength and technological leadership. The Union Budget 2026, according to Reddy, lays a strong foundation for growth that will benefit not only Telangana but the entire country in the decades to come.
