Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today chaired the first Governing Council Meeting of the National Cadet Corps Alumni Association (NCCAA) at South Block, highlighting the pivotal role of the NCC in shaping the nation’s youth and its former cadets in nation-building.
Addressing the gathering, Singh described the NCC as a powerful platform that sets an ideal for the country’s youth. He praised former NCC cadets as “strong pillars of India,” who continue to contribute to the country’s progress not as bystanders, but as active and committed drivers of development.
“The values, discipline, and leadership instilled by NCC have created a generation of citizens who are deeply engaged in the service of the nation across sectors,” Singh said.
The meeting marked a milestone for the NCCAA, which aims to build a vibrant network of former NCC cadets and promote greater involvement of the alumni in national initiatives.
