BJP Leader CR Kesavan Criticizes Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Chakravyuh’ Remark, Defends PM Modi

Date:

BJP leader CR Kesavan has sharply responded to recent comments made by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, who referred to the current political landscape as a ‘Chakravyuh’ (a complex maze) in a critique of the BJP’s policies. Kesavan condemned Gandhi’s remarks and defended Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while accusing the Congress party of perpetuating dynastic politics.

In his statement, Kesavan labeled the concept of dynastic politics as the “dynastic Chakravyuh,” which he claimed has hindered India’s progress for decades. “The dynastic Chakravyuh has been detrimental and has been affecting the progress of the country for decades. PM Modi has defeated this dynastic ‘Chakravyuh’ of the Congress party,” Kesavan said, underscoring the BJP’s position against what it views as entrenched dynastic practices within Congress.

Kesavan also criticized Gandhi’s recent comments on the Padma awards, which he suggested showed a lack of understanding and respect for India’s cultural heritage. “The bizarre statements he made on ‘Padma’ yesterday show his lack of understanding and insulted our national identity and demeaned cultural heritage,” Kesavan asserted.

The Padma awards, which recognize distinguished contributions to various fields, have been a topic of political debate. Gandhi’s comments have been perceived as controversial by the BJP, which sees them as an affront to national symbols and honors.

Kesavan further dismissed Gandhi’s criticisms of the BJP, suggesting that such attacks only bolster the ruling party’s position. “The more he attacks the Lotus, the more Lotus will bloom,” he remarked, drawing a metaphorical link between Gandhi’s criticisms and the BJP’s growing political strength.

The exchange reflects the ongoing friction between the BJP and Congress, with both parties leveraging statements and actions to underscore their respective political narratives. As the political discourse intensifies, the statements from leaders like Kesavan and Gandhi are expected to continue shaping the debate around national politics and party ideologies.

The BJP’s response highlights its strategic focus on contrasting its leadership and policies with those of the Congress, while Gandhi’s remarks emphasize his party’s critique of the current administration’s approach to governance and national awards.
