BJP MP Eatala Rajender Criticizes Telangana Government Over Farmer Loan Waiver Conditions

Date:

Hyderabad: BJP Member of Parliament Eatala Rajender has accused the Congress-led Telangana government of backtracking on its promise to waive loans worth Rs 2 lakh for 69 lakh farmers, alleging the imposition of stringent conditions.

Addressing a gathering in Hyderabad, Rajender voiced concerns over the government’s handling of the farmer loan waiver scheme. “The Congress government is trying to run away from its promise by imposing several conditions on the loan waiver,” he stated, emphasizing the BJP’s demand for unconditional relief for farmers burdened by debt.

Rajender’s remarks underscored growing discontent among opposition parties and agricultural communities regarding the implementation of crucial agricultural policies in Telangana. The BJP MP criticized what he perceived as delays and bureaucratic hurdles hindering the effective rollout of farmer-centric initiatives.

“The government should fulfill its commitment without imposing additional criteria that only prolong the suffering of our farmers,” Rajender asserted, urging transparency and accountability in the administration’s approach towards agrarian welfare.

The issue of farmer loan waivers has remained a contentious topic in Telangana, with stakeholders and political entities closely monitoring developments amid escalating tensions over economic hardships faced by rural communities.

As Rajender’s statements reverberate through political corridors, they are expected to influence public discourse and legislative debates surrounding agricultural policies and the welfare of farmers in the state.

The Telangana government has yet to respond to Rajender’s allegations, prompting heightened scrutiny over the administration’s agricultural policies and commitments to addressing farmer distress effectively.
