Hyderabad: BJP Member of Parliament Eatala Rajender has accused the Congress-led Telangana government of backtracking on its promise to waive loans worth Rs 2 lakh for 69 lakh farmers, alleging the imposition of stringent conditions.
Addressing a gathering in Hyderabad, Rajender voiced concerns over the government’s handling of the farmer loan waiver scheme. “The Congress government is trying to run away from its promise by imposing several conditions on the loan waiver,” he stated, emphasizing the BJP’s demand for unconditional relief for farmers burdened by debt.
Rajender’s remarks underscored growing discontent among opposition parties and agricultural communities regarding the implementation of crucial agricultural policies in Telangana.
