PM Modi Vows to Deliver Tap Water to Every Delhi Household, Slams BJD in Odisha

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a public meeting in Kendrapara, Odisha, pledged to ensure tap water supply to every household in Delhi. He highlighted the stark contrast with Odisha, where he claimed that not all households have access to tap water.

“Modi is striving to provide tap water to every house in Delhi,” the Prime Minister declared, referring to himself in the third person. He then pointed out the disparity in Odisha, stating, “Here not everyone has got tap water.”

The Prime Minister’s remarks come amid growing concerns over water scarcity and quality across the country. His commitment to ensuring tap water for every household in Delhi underscores the government’s resolve to tackle these issues head-on.

In his address, PM Modi also took aim at the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), the ruling party in Odisha. He said, “Odisha is voting to change this situation. Odisha is also voting to end the loot of BJD.”

The Prime Minister’s criticism of the BJD indicates a fierce political contest in the state. His remarks are expected to stir up the political landscape in Odisha, where the BJP has been making steady inroads.

The rally in Kendrapara forms part of the Prime Minister’s campaign efforts to drum up support for the BJP in the state. His emphasis on basic amenities like water supply underlines the central government’s development and infrastructure push.

With the political heat rising in Odisha, it will be interesting to see how the BJD counters PM Modi’s remarks and what influence they will have on the electorate.
