BJP Accuses Telangana CM Revanth Reddy of Insulting Hindu Sentiments, Demands Apology

Date:

Hyderabad: State BJP President Ramchander Rao sharply criticised Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, alleging that his recent remarks reflect an “anti-Hindu” stance and show disrespect towards Hindu beliefs.

Rao said the Chief Minister’s comments — particularly the claim that “Muslim is Congress and Congress is Muslim” — have hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community.

He added,

“The CM of Telangana appears to have turned anti-Hindu after making the statement that Muslim is Congress and Congress is Muslim. Now he has gone to the extent of insulting the Hindu gods and goddesses… Just because the CM has a friendship with AIMIM, that doesn’t mean he should insult the Hindu religion.”

The BJP leader asserted that the party wants the Chief Minister to issue a public apology to Hindus across the country.

Rao’s remarks come amid rising political tensions in the state, with the BJP accusing the ruling Congress government of appeasement politics and disrespect towards religious sentiments.
