CR Kesavan: PM Modi’s ‘No Mediation’ Remark Sends Strong Global Message on Terrorism

Date:

Hyderabad, Telangana — BJP spokesperson CR Kesavan on Wednesday reinforced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s firm declaration that “India has and will never accept mediation,” asserting that it was a direct and decisive message to the United States and the global community.

“PM Modi has sent a clear statement to the US that there was no mediation and no talk of a trade deal,” said Kesavan. He added that the new India views terrorism not as a proxy war but as an act of war, a stance now acknowledged by the United States.

“This sends a resounding message which will echo across the world — when it comes to terrorism, India’s policy of zero tolerance stands firm,” Kesavan said, lauding the government’s diplomatic clarity.

Taking a swipe at the opposition, Kesavan accused the Congress party of echoing narratives harmful to India’s national security. “The Congress party has behaved like spokespersons of Pakistan. They have peddled Pakistan’s noxious narrative and undermined our armed forces,” he alleged, demanding an immediate apology from Congress to both the Indian armed forces and the nation.

The remarks come amid renewed political sparring over India’s foreign policy, defense stance, and past political positions on mediation and counter-terrorism.
