Hyderabad, Telangana — BJP leader CR Kesavan launched a scathing attack on Congress MLA Manjunath over his reported remarks questioning Operation Sindoor, accusing him of insulting India’s armed forces and undermining national security.
“Many statements of Congress leaders reflect their anti-armed forces mindset,” Kesavan said. “Through his obnoxious and foul-mouthed statement, Congress MLA Manjunath tried to defame, discredit, and deplorably attack the armed forces. He has the audacity to question the authenticity and legitimacy of Operation Sindoor.”
Kesavan further added, “His deplorable comments are not just unpatriotic — they are anti-national. But what better do you expect from Congress? Do you expect the Congress party to condemn Manjunath? No, because they have a history of mocking the armed forces.”
He concluded by saying, “How the Congress party has failed to stand by the nation and our armed forces will never be forgotten nor forgiven.”
The remarks come amid rising political tension following India’s cross-border anti-terror operation and the opposition’s varied reactions to it.
